Technology Details:
A tuberose variety Sahyadri Vaman is dwarf and well suited for pot-culture, for vertical gardening (vertical panels) and for terrace/roof gardening (for urban dwellers). The florets (on an average 43 nos. florets per spike) are arranged compactly on short rachis that gives an impression of hyacinth spike. Also, the floret opening is proper till the end of spike. Plants hardly reach a height of 48-52 cm dwarfness in comparison to the parent variety. The short stature/dwarf nature makes it highly suitable for pot culture, vertical panels, gardening/landscaping besides vase decoration as cut flower. Average rachis length is 24-30 cm on which florets are arranged beautifully. Each bulb produces on an average 5-6 spikes per clump per year. Stems are sturdy with thickness more than the parent variety (1.37 cm against 1.20 cm). On an average a minimum of 12 bulbs are produced from each clump per year.
